Mobility aids aren't one-size-fits-all. Picking the right one comes down to how much support is needed and where it will be used most.
Standard walkers
These offer the most stability since they have no wheels, but they require lifting with each step, which takes more strength and slows walking pace.
Rollators
A rollator has wheels, hand brakes, and usually a seat — good for longer outings, uneven ground, and anyone who benefits from a place to rest.
What to look for
Check the weight capacity, look for a comfortable seat if rest breaks are likely, and make sure the handle height is adjustable to the user's height.
